Welcome To Health Mutt

Welcome — we’re so happy you found us.

We know your dog isn’t “just a pet” — they’re your baby, your shadow, your family. That’s exactly how we treat them here.

At Health Mutt, grooming is built around care, comfort, and trust. We take the time to get to know your dog as an individual — their personality, sensitivities, coat, and what helps them feel safe. Every service is done with patience, kindness, and respect for your dog’s emotional and physical well-being.

We move at your dog’s pace, use high-quality, skin-loving products, and prioritize a calm, positive experience — especially for puppies, seniors, and dogs who may be nervous or new to grooming. No rushing. No shortcuts. Just thoughtful, loving care.

When you leave your dog with us, you can feel confident knowing they’re being treated the way we’d want our own dogs — like family.

  • We expect it — and we welcome it. Many dogs feel unsure in new environments, and that’s completely okay. We move slowly, use gentle handling, and give your dog time to feel safe. Nothing is forced. Our goal is to build trust first, so grooming becomes a positive experience over time.

  • We don’t rush, and we don’t push dogs through just to stay on a schedule. Your dog is worked with intentionally and given breaks when needed. A calm, thoughtful experience is always more important to us than speed. Your pet will have a one on one experience. Family dogs are welcome to come together or separately depending on your pets comfort.

  • We stop. Your dog’s emotional and physical well-being always comes first. If we feel continuing would cause unnecessary stress or fear, we’ll pause the service and talk with you about the best next steps. We would much rather build trust over time than push a dog past their limits.

  • First visits are about getting to know your dog — their personality, comfort level, coat, and needs. In some cases, we may recommend starting with a bath, mini groom, or even a happy visit instead of a full haircut right away. This helps set your dog up for long-term success and confidence with grooming.

  • We’ll always be honest and kind. While we do our best to honor your vision, your dog’s comfort, coat health, and safety come first. If something isn’t realistic or comfortable, we’ll explain why and recommend an alternative that keeps your dog feeling good while still looking their best.

  • Because grooming is hands-on, we often notice changes in skin, coat, or body early. If we see anything concerning — like irritation, matting, lumps, or soreness — we’ll let you know right away so you can decide how to move forward or follow up with your vet.

  • We’re best suited for pet parents who value gentle handling, patience, and consistent care. If you’re looking for the fastest or cheapest option, we may not be the right match. But if you want thoughtful, wellness-focused grooming for a dog you love like a child, you’re in the right place.
